Built from practical experience
Goldridge Living was founded by Brad Johnson after years working hands-on across joinery, construction and design. That background still shapes how projects are approached today. Details have to work on site, not just look good on a drawing.
The business has grown around a personal design-and-build approach. We listen to how the room will be used, look carefully at the plot and then shape the specification around the customer rather than pushing a fixed model.
Personal from the first conversation
Founder Brad Johnson also appeared on BBC’s The Apprentice. It is part of the Goldridge story, but the day-to-day business is still grounded in design, construction and dealing directly with customers.
That keeps conversations practical. We will explain where a feature is worth the money, where the site creates a constraint and where a simpler answer may work better.
Where we work
Goldridge serves homeowners across North Yorkshire and the wider Yorkshire region, with existing work and coverage extending into Teesside and County Durham. Our home base is Thirsk, which puts us within sensible reach of York, Harrogate, Ripon, Northallerton, Wetherby and surrounding villages.
What a successful project looks like
The finished room should make everyday life easier. It might give you a quieter place to work, space to train without taking over the house or somewhere friends and family genuinely want to spend time.
That is the standard we design towards: a comfortable, properly finished room that continues to earn its place after the excitement of the build has passed.
