What matters is what sits behind the finish.

Cladding and glazing get the attention, but structure, insulation, weathering and detailing are what make a garden room work year after year.

SIP walls, traditional timber floor

Goldridge currently combines structural insulated panel walls with a traditional timber joist floor approach. SIPs create an efficient insulated wall structure, while the timber floor build-up gives a solid, practical platform with flexibility for services and finishes.

External finishes

The external finish changes the character of the building and how it sits with the house. Current Goldridge options include Redwood timber cladding, composite slatted cladding, composite woodgrain tongue-and-groove cladding, stone slips and render.

Glazing, doors and daylight

Large doors can make a room feel open and connected to the garden, but bigger is not always automatically better. Orientation, wind exposure, furniture layout, security and how the room will be used all matter. We design the glazing around the room rather than treating it as a fixed package.

Electrics, heating and finish

The electrical package, lighting, sockets, data, heating or air conditioning and internal finish should all be thought about before the room is built. Entertainment rooms and offices often need very different power and lighting layouts.
