Work out what needs to fit before choosing the finishes
A bar, fridge, sink, draught system, TV, speakers, pool table and dart board all need space around them. We work through the wish list first so the layout feels comfortable when the room is full of people, not just when it is empty.
Services are part of the design
Entertainment rooms can need far more electrical planning than a simple garden office. Refrigeration, pumps, lighting circuits, TVs, audio and optional plumbing should all be considered before the internal finish goes on.
- Fitted bar layout
- Draught pumps and refrigeration
- Media wall and TV position
- Integrated speakers
- Ambient and task lighting
- Pool, darts and seating zones
The Hartlepool project shows what is possible
Our Hartlepool garden bar combined a bespoke fitted bar, draught pumps, media wall, ambient lighting, integrated speakers and space for pool and darts. It is a useful example of how a social room develops when the layout is designed around the finished use.
Start with your ideal night in
Tell us what you want in the room, how many people you normally host and which features are essential. We can then work out how much space is realistic and where the budget is best spent.
