The brief
The aim was to create a dedicated place for friends, family, drinks, sport and games without compromising the main bungalow. It needed to feel finished and intentional inside, not like a garden building with a bar placed against one wall.
The design response
The room was planned around distinct entertainment zones, including a bespoke fitted bar, draught beer pumps, a media wall, integrated speakers and space for both pool and darts. Lighting was used to give the room a more relaxed evening atmosphere.
Key features
Every feature had to be coordinated with power, lighting and furniture space before the room was finished.
- Bespoke fitted bar
- Integrated draught pumps
- Media wall with ambient lighting
- Integrated speaker system
- Space for pool table and darts
- Premium interior finish
Planning your own entertainment room
Start with how many people you normally host and the non-negotiable features. A pool table, bar, cinema screen and sofa all need very different clearances, so the room should be planned around them rather than trying to fit them in afterwards.
