The brief
After running a small business from home, Mr and Mrs Field wanted a dedicated space away from the distractions of the main house. The room needed to be practical enough for work and creative use, but still feel calm and connected to the surrounding landscape.
The design response
The room was finished in premium composite cladding with large anthracite bifolding doors and wrap-around corner glazing. That corner detail opens up the outlook and brings much more natural light into the working space than a standard front-only window arrangement.
Key features
The finished room is fully insulated for all-season use and was designed as a proper workspace rather than a seasonal garden building.
